NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by various National Institutes of Technology (NITs) for admission to their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs. It is highly competitive, and the scores are accepted by 11 participating NITs across India.
To be eligible for NIMCET, candidates must:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc (Computer Science/IT), BCA, B.E/B.Tech, or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Have studied Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects in their qualifying exam.
- Secure at least 60% marks (6.5/10 CGPA) for General/OBC candidates and 55% marks (5.5/10 CGPA) for SC/ST candidates in their qualifying degree.
- Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
